If you do not know what size of receiver or tube you need:

Have a look near the tip of your old tubes – there should be a number, usually Red on the right and Blue on the left (in form 1xS).
OR
Take the measurement from the top of your ear (where spectacles would sit) straight down to the centre of the ear canal entrance in mm – please see picture below. As a rough guide for Phonak / Unitron, if it’s 26mm or less then you’d want a size 0, 27mm to 30mm = 1, 31mm to 34mm = 2, 35mm+ = 3
Replace your receiver tubes ONCE A YEAR for optimal performance.

Phonak new style POWER receiver wire

Phonak old style POWER receiver wire

Replacement is recommended every Year – Make sure you choose the correct strength – Std or Power
Note: The new receiver we supply is a little different to the older style. The head is slightly angled to the natural direction of the average ear canal. The number on the new receiver is white on a colour background, whereas the old receiver has a coloured number. For the new Power version, the overall dimensions are reduced in comparison to the older version – this can have a dramatic effect on fit, quality and ultimately, sound production. By now, you should not have aids with the old receiver fitted. Either get new receivers or speak to your audiologist.
